DIAMOND COLLISION
Deer Season is Late Fall through early Winter
BEFORE A DEER HITS YOUR VEHICLE:
-
Check Your Insurance Coverage to ensure you have comprehensive insurance, which typically covers accidents with animals and collision insurance, which covers collisions with other vehicles.
-
Check your Insurance for rental coverage to be sure that you have a replacement vehicle, if needed, while your vehicle is in for repairs.
Damage from deer collisions can be extensive, affecting bumpers, headlights, radiators, hoods, fenders, windshields and more.
IF A DEER HITS YOUR VEHICLE:
-
Report the Accident: Contact your insurance agent as soon as possible to file a report. Inspect your vehicle for leaks, broken lights, or any other issues that may affect its safety. If the vehicle is unsafe, call a towing service.
-
Repair Your Vehicle: After filing a claim with your insurance company for repairs, contact Diamond Collision at 607-398-2045 for a thorough vehicle repair process. We can assist you in submitting information to your insurance company as well as helping set up a rental if you have rental coverage.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 2610 OF THE INSURANCE LAW, AN INSURANCE COMPANY CANNOT REQUIRE THAT REPAIRS BE MADE TO A MOTOR VEHICLE IN A PARTICULAR PLACE OR REPAIR SHOP. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE YOUR VEHICLE REPAIRED IN THE SHOP OF YOUR CHOICE.
